An Orton-Gillingham-based resource of CVC /r/ words, phrases, sentences, and paragraphs for reading and articulation practice.







This Orton-Gillingham-based resource designed for reading and articulation practice focusing on CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words features the /r/ sound in /r/-loaded paragraphs, word lists, phrases, and sentences that systematically reinforce both decoding skills and pronunciation. Teachers can integrate these materials into reading intervention sessions to build students’ decoding skills with the letter “r.” Speech-language pathologists may use the same content to target /r/ articulation, giving learners repeated practice opportunities with exercises at their independent reading level. These materials offer structured Orton-Gillingham-inspired activities to help learners gain fluency and confidence with the /r/ sound in simple, targeted contexts. This resource is designed to be both flexible and focused, ensuring that students struggling with the /r/ sound or decoding with the letter “r” receive clear and consistent support as they progress toward greater fluency and confidence.
